Gas Safe registered plumbing

Plumbers who arrive when they said they would.

Half the frustration of a plumbing problem is not the leak — it is the four contractors who said they would attend and did not. If we commit to nine o'clock, we are there at nine. And if we are delayed, you will receive a call rather than silence.

Tell us what's wrong

Describe the problem — or send a photograph via WhatsApp. We'll tell you what it will cost before attending.

No obligation. We'll respond the same working day.

Indicative cost

Smaller works from around £90. Radiator replacement from £180. Full system upgrades quoted per project.

We price the job rather than the hour, so a tap that turns out to be seized does not quietly become a four-hour bill. Where a job genuinely cannot be priced without inspection, we will say so rather than invent a figure over the telephone.

What's included

Most of what goes wrong with water in a property.

Plumbing is the trade where cutting corners is best concealed and most expensive. A joint that is 'probably fine' is a ceiling on the floor in eighteen months.

Gas Safe registration matters

Anyone may describe themselves as a plumber. Only a Gas Safe registered engineer may lawfully work on gas — boilers, hobs and gas fires. Ask any contractor for their registration number before they touch a gas appliance in your home, and verify it on the register. Ours is available on request, and we would encourage you to check it.

The process

Straightforward, as plumbing should be.

For most work it is a phone call, a price, and an engineer at your door.

STAGE 01

Call or WhatsApp

Describe the issue or send a photograph. An image tells us more than five minutes of description, and it is considerably faster.

STAGE 02

A price before attending

For most standard work we can quote from a photograph. Where the position is genuinely uncertain, we will say so rather than guess.

STAGE 03

The repair

We arrive when we said we would, with the parts. Floors protected, water isolated, work completed. No mid-job trip to the merchant.

STAGE 04

Tested before we leave

Everything tested before we leave, and any gas work notified as the regulations require.

Before you commit

The questions people don't ask out loud.

So we'll answer them here instead.

Will we be charged simply for an inspection?

No call-out fee applies where you proceed with the work. If you would prefer to obtain another quotation, that is entirely reasonable — no charge, and no follow-up calls.

How quickly can you attend?

Genuine emergencies — a burst pipe, no heating with an infant in the house — we will do everything possible to attend the same day. Non-urgent work is usually within a few days. We will be honest on the telephone rather than promise an hour and arrive tomorrow.

Are you genuinely Gas Safe registered?

Yes, and you should ask this of anyone working on gas in your home. We will provide our registration number for you to verify on the Gas Safe Register. Any contractor evasive about that question is telling you something.

“Our boiler failed on a Sunday in January with two young children in the house. Someone answered the telephone — actually answered it — attended the following morning, and had a replacement fitted by the afternoon. We have used them for everything since.”

Common questions

Plumbing & Heating — straight answers.

Smaller works start around £90. A radiator replacement is typically £180–£280. Larger work — a new cylinder or a full heating system — is quoted per project following inspection. We price the job rather than the hour, so a difficult tap does not become an open-ended bill.

Not where you proceed with the work. If you request a quotation and then choose another contractor, there is no charge and no chasing.

Yes. Any work on gas — boilers, hobs, gas fires — legally requires it, and we will provide our registration number so you can verify it on the Gas Safe Register before we begin.

For genuine emergencies we will do everything possible. Burst pipes and loss of heating in winter take priority. For non-urgent work it is usually a few days, and we will be straight with you on the telephone rather than over-promise.

Yes — and it is generally the better approach. Having the same team deliver the plumbing, tiling and installation eliminates the finger-pointing when something does not align.
